Volunteering at Recovery International
Volunteering is at the very core of every human being. We volunteer to help others, and to give greater meaning to our own lives. No one has made it through life without someone else’s help.
Recovery International Volunteers are essential to better mental health!
You can help in your own community by:
- Distributing brochures and posters to community bulletin boards, libraries, community centers, Veterans’ organizations, houses of worship, etc.
- Helping at local information fairs by staffing a resource and information table.
- Participating in demonstration panels at local events.
- Becoming an Assistant Leader, Meeting Aide or Tech Aide.
- Helping your meeting leader with meeting prep, welcoming newcomers, etc.
- Spreading the word about RI on your social media.
- Writing articles for local newspapers (online or print) about RI and how it has helped you.
Ready to help with specific projects or committees?
As a Recovery International volunteer, you may:
- Offer advice on how to best reach an audience such as veterans, teens, or professionals.
- Lend your professional field of expertise to our committees or programs.
